40th Anniversary Celebratory Gala*Registration is now open - Click here to reserve your ticket* On the evening of October 11, 2012 history will once again be made in Independence National Historical Park (INHP) as hundreds of guests will assemble for a night of festivity, reflection, revelry and honors to mark our 40th Anniversary. Both a celebration and a commemoration, our gala will delight all in attendance as we gather along 3rd Street in the historic setting of Independence National Historical Park. On this night, we will remember our past, but we will celebrate our future and the future of our National Park. For over 40 years, we have been creating the foundation and the traditions that has made our organization an inspiration to other organizations and it was with the support and generosity of our members, our sponsors and our volunteers. Now we invite you to join us on October 11th, as we take all that we have built and learned to catapult us in to the next 40 years of greatness. As part of our celebrations, the Friends along with Superintendent Cynthia MacLeod and all the staff of Independence National Historical Park will honor Addie-Lou and Hobie Cawood. Addie-Lou was a founding member and board member of the Friends when we started in 1972. Hobie became Superintendent of INHP in 1971 and it was under their dynamic partnership that many of the values and tradition we have today were created and flourished. On this night, October 11th, we will honor them for their contributions. Rarely has there been an event of this nature allowed in the Park. But for one night this autumn, history will again be made for those fortunate to be in attendance.
